Mill Creek real estate's genesis took place in 1986 when 900 acres were purchased with an eye towards a future that would see the area filled with oversized home sites situated amongst large natural preserves. Mill Creek was officially opened for sales the following year, and the first homes were built here in the early 1990s. An additional 300 acres of wooded space have been recently added to this figure. Each house is set on a lot that ranges from half an acre to 1.5 acres.

Some of the world’s most popular theme parks, Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando, can both be reached in 90 minutes. Popular Floridian beaches and Ellenton Premium Outlets are within an easy drive as well. Several schools operated by Manatee County Public Schools are located nearby. Mill Creek is a protected deed-restricted place that offers reasonable HOA fees and no CDD fees.
